The Resipod is a fully integrated 4-point Wenner probe designed to measure the electrical resistivity of concrete. It is the most precise device on the market, extremely fast and stable, packaged in a robust and waterproof housing for its use in demanding environment.

Surface resistivity measurements provide extremely useful information on the condition of the concrete structure. The device allows to measure corrosion rate estimation, concrete resistance to aggressive agents, concrete homogeneity, curing conditions or checking fiber distribution in a steelfiber reinforced concrete. The recent studies have shown that there is a direct correlation between resistivity and chloride diffusion rate.It is thus one of the most versatile non-destructive test methods for concrete on the market.

The Bulk Resistivity test is an alternative method where the sample resistivity is measured between electrical plates placed at either end of the sample. The geometry factor is very simple and the test is rapid to perform, with similar advantages as the surface resistivity test. P38140000

Giatec RCON2™ is a non-destructive device for measuring the electrical resistivity of concrete specimens in the laboratory without any additional sample preparation requirements. This measurement can easily be made on the same concrete samples that are currently used for the compressive strength testing of concrete.

RCON2™ is fast (measurement time is less than 5 seconds), accurate (utilizing variable frequency method) and flexible (the measurement can be taken with different settings for verification). RCON2™ also allows for continuous measurement of electrical resistivity over time, which can be used to monitor several other parameters such as cracking, moisture transfer and time of setting in concrete specimens.
